Where do I catch buses from Malaga Airport? |
| Hello, where is the bus arrivals and departure point at Malaga airport and do buses run on a Sunday in August? Can you please get back to me as soon as possible Thank you Gemma |
The Malaga bus departure and pick up point is just outside the Arrivals area |
Hi Gemma Come out of the baggage reclaim area into the arrivals area and turn right. You will see all the taxis waiting outside. Walk out of the arrivals area and turn right along the pavement for about 50 metres and you will see other people waiting by the the Bus Stop sign. Until the new airport buildings are finished this will be the main pick up and drop off point.
The buses which take you to the Malaga Airport free parking pick up and drop off here every 10 minutes. The bus to the Malaga Bus Station also picks up and drops off passengers here and also about 200 metres further along the pavement next to the original airport building if this is more convenient. This service runs every 30 minutes into Malaga from around 6.30 am to 11.30pm.
About 5 minutes before the due time, the Malaga Airport to Marbella Bus Station bus will arrive and stop here. Yes these services run every day of the year but please take these timings as indications only, check always with the bus companies.

| On the very right of the picture below, behind the red triangular pedestrian crossing is where you come out of the Malaga Airport Arrivals area. You will be struck by the noise. Welcome to Spain! Turn right and walk along the pavement under the Coca Cola sign and just in front of where you see the taxi with the boot open is where you catch all the buses to the free parking areas, to Malaga bus station and to Marbella Bus Station. This is also where the rent a car mini buses pick up and drop off clients. P.S. The new airport will be online in 2008. I don't think the noise will have gone by then though |
